Job summary

FOUNTAIN TIRE LTD in Estevan, Saskatchewan, is looking for a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team. Founded over 70 years ago, we pride ourselves on providing strong leadership and an organized workplace.

The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle malfunctions, performing maintenance services, and providing excellent customer support.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully licensed Journeyperson in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required for mechanical service.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle.
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles.
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance service.
• Advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment.
• Operating vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to inquiries.

You will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
