Job summary

Sobeys in Stratford, Ontario is seeking a Meat Department Associate to provide friendly, professional service while preparing meat products for sale. You will help maintain displays, receive orders, and ensure compliance with CFIA standards.

This role includes training new staff and supporting the Meat Manager in daily operations. We value reliable, detail-oriented team players who can work independently in a fast-paced environment and uphold company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of meat department experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meat products for sale.
• Merchandise meat area where applicable.
• Maintain meat department area.
• Receive meat orders.
• Handle special order meat product requests.
• Participate in professional development.
• Meet company meat standards and CFIA regulations.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Perform administrative duties as required.
• Provide technical training to new staff and clerks.
• Assist Meat Manager/Clerk Department Second Meat if applicable.
