PROFILE

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Social Media Manager to lead our firm’s digital presence across Canadian social platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping our domestic voice, amplifying thought leadership, and positioning our brand as a trusted advisor. You’ll drive end-to-end social strategy—from planning and execution to measurement—while managing a small team and collaborating across departments to elevate our brand and business development efforts.

This position can be based in either our Toronto or Ottawa office

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute a firm-wide social media strategy aligned with business development and marketing goals
  • Ensure brand consistency and platform-specific voice across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to amplify thought leadership, client initiatives, and talent stories
  • Build and manage an integrated social calendar with input from BD, partners, and marketing colleagues
  • Lead copywriting, creative briefing, and real-time content development; oversee asset creation and guide external vendors
  • Execute organic and paid campaigns to support recruitment, brand awareness, and client engagement
  • Monitor online conversations and brand mentions; engage appropriately and escalate sensitive issues when needed
  • Provide training and guidance to professionals on social media best practices and personal brand building
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards covering reach, engagement, CTR, audience quality, and pipeline influence
  • Deliver regular performance reports with insights and recommendations to improve strategy and demonstrate ROI
  • Use data to refine targeting, spend, and creative assets for maximum impact
  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and competitive trends
  • Empower firm members with tools and guidance for employee advocacy and social selling
  • Partner with internal teams to promote campaigns, media coverage, market recognition, and talent initiatives
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering growth, innovation, and high-quality output
  • Propose and pilot innovative ideas to evolve the firm’s social presence
  • Monitor emerging formats and technologies (e.g., AI-assisted content, short-form video, podcasts, interactive media)
  • Evaluate new platforms for relevance to business objectives and recommend adoption where appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of hands-on social media management in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment, preferably B2B.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver multi-platform campaigns with measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for social media.
  • Strategic and creative mindset with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Mastery of LinkedIn, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and tools such as Sprout, Hootsuite, Meltwater.
  • Strong data fluency and experience with paid media budgets and A/B testing.
  • Experience managing and mentoring direct reports.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, accountable, and calm under pressure.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) preferred; additional languages an asset.
