Otter Co-op in Summerland, BC is hiring a temporary full-time Liquor Store Associate for Angry Otter Liquor @ Peacock's Perch located in Summerland. This temporary role runs until March 2027 to cover a leave of absence and offers competitive wages and benefits.

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, you will provide excellent customer service, process transactions, stock shelves, receive deliveries, and promote sales while upholding our values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving it Right license is required.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Problem solver and quick learner.
• WSET 1 accreditation to be obtained within first year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shift.
• Must be 19+ years of age and available for varied shifts.
• Position based at Peacock's Perch Liquor Store; travel to other locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Balance register drawer at end of shift per procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales.
• Support corporate values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner

• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full8 hourshift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
• This position is based out of the Peacock's PerchLiquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
