Otter Co-op is hiring a temporary full-time Liquor Store Associate for Angry Otter Liquor at Peacock's Perch in Summerland, BC. The role covers a leave of absence until March 2027, reporting to the Liquor Store Manager.

The successful candidate will provide friendly, efficient service, handle register transactions, balance drawers, stock shelves, and assist with deliveries while upholding integrity and community values. 19+ and flexible shifts required.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right license is required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to obtain WSET 1 within first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Balance cash drawer at shift end.
• Stock and rotate products on shelves.

Otter Co-op is now hiring for a temporaryfull-time Liquor Store Associateat our Angry Otter Liquor @ Peacock's Perchlocated in Summerland, BC. This is a temporary role until March, 2027, to cover a leave of absence.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full8 hourshift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
• This position is based out of the Peacock's PerchLiquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
