Otter Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate for Angry Otter Liquor at Orchard Plaza in Kamloops, BC. You’ll deliver friendly, efficient service to guests, handle register transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store organized.

Ideal candidates have liquor retail experience, a Serving It Right license, and are 19+ with flexible availability including mornings, afternoons and evenings. WSET 1 is a plus; role offers competitive wages and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred
• Serving It Right license required
• WSET 1 accreditation minimum (to be obtained within first year)
• Must be over 19 years of age
• Open availability for mornings, afternoons and evenings
• Based out of Angry Otter Liquor @ Orchard Plaza; travel to other locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at shift end according to procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales

• Perform other duties as assigned

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Orchard Plaza located in Kamloops, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales

• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations as well as:

• Liquor retail experience is preferred
• Serving it Right license is required
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Problem solver and quick learner
• WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
• This position is based out of the AOL @ Orchard Plaza, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
