Specsavers Hamilton is seeking a Full Time Licensed Optician in Hamilton, ON. You will guide customers through eyewear choices, ensuring every pair provides comfort, style and accurate vision.

You’ll collaborate with store and clinical teams to deliver high-quality eyecare. Requirements include registration with the College of Opticians and a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province, at least two years of customer service experience, and legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Opticians and a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment with strong organization.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; not able to provide immigration support.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding visual needs and interpret prescriptions.
• Provide guidance on frame and lens selection for comfort, style and fit.
• Dispense eyewear using digital tools and perform quality assurance checks.
• Maintain knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments, and current promotions.
• Handle after-care, resolve complaints with effective problem solving.
• Support contact lens recommendations and promotions as directed.
• Process third-party billing and assist store operations as needed.
