Job summary

LensCrafters in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Team Lead to deliver exceptional customer service and manage core optical and lab processes. The role includes guiding patients through lens choices, providing expert product knowledge, and ensuring quality eyewear.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid state Opticianry license.
• Strong optical and retail experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic math skills.
• Sales skills and problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers and calculators.
• Leadership and training experience.
• Edging and mounting experience.
• Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unsurpassed customer service.
• Proactive and solution‑driven, accurate execution and product knowledge.
• Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, assist sales associates.
• Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder.
• Operate within scope of a licensed optician: provide lens guidance based on prescriptions, adjust/repair eyewear, present and dispense eyewear, perform digital measurements.
• In the lab (if applicable): custom fits, improve knowledge of lens and lab processes, ensure finished eyewear meets standards, maintain safe work environment and equipment.
