Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our Aurora store, helping customers choose eyewear for comfort, style, and accurate vision. You will work closely with retail and clinical teams to deliver high-quality eyecare and personalized service.

In this role, you’ll perform dispensing tasks, provide expert advice, and contribute to store operations. A provincial dispensing license and 2+ years in customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Opticians and hold a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding visual needs and interpreting prescriptions.
• Guide frame and lens selection for comfort, style, and optimal vision.
• Perform dispensing measurements using digital tools and conduct quality checks.
• Maintain knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments, and current promotions.
• Manage after-care services and resolve complaints with effective problem-solving.
• Support contact lens recommendations as directed by the Store Manager.
• Handle third-party billing professionally and in accordance with fee structures.
• Coach teammates in optical knowledge and skills to support growth.
