Location: West Carleton Secondary School (3088 Dunrobin Rd)
Position Status: 50% Term Assignment to January 1, 2027
Work Year: 10.5 months work year
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 11:30 am, 17.5 hours per week
Affiliation: OSSTF District 25 – Educational Support Professionals (ESP)
Salary Rate: $27.22 to $33.67 per hour (Level 5)
Effective: January 5, 2026
Under the direction of the Principal or designate, the Library Technician will provide technical and public services and perform other duties related to library operations such as organizing, maintaining, selecting, ordering, circulating print and non‑print materials, providing reference services, researching and preparing support materials for units of study, and performing public relations, supervisory and clerical activities.

Evaluation & Assessment: In accordance with the Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board's Administrative and Support Staff Selection Process, the evaluation and assessment of candidates will be completed using the following four (4) identified areas of performance: organizational and management skills, communication, interpersonal skills, and knowledge and practice, as they relate to the duties, qualifications, knowledge and education outlined above.
