Job summary

Ladner Pioneer Library in Delta, BC is seeking a Customer Services Assistant 2 to provide outstanding service, deliver library and literacy programs, and lead events both in-person and virtually in collaboration with librarians and supervisors.

You will contribute to The Playground and other outreach efforts for all ages, requiring a friendly, proactive disposition, solid keyboarding skills, and familiarity with library technology. This is a part-time, permanent role with varied hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Library and Information Technology required.
• Customer service experience (up to six months) preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and deliver children's, teen and adult programs.
• Knowledge of automated library systems and tech literacy.
• Excellent keyboarding skills (45 wpm) and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and program delivery within the library and community.
• Deliver The Playground programs, events, tours, and group presentations.
• Conduct virtual programs in consultation with Librarian and Library Supervisors.
• Promote and facilitate literacy programs and community outreach.
