Job summary

York University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies is seeking a Learning Resource Support Specialist (LRSS) to assist students, faculty and staff in LA&PS learning spaces. The role includes front-desk support, technical support, and general administrative duties to ensure proper use of computers, software and AV equipment, aligned with active learning methods.

Qualifications

• College diploma or 2 years' relevant York University experience.
• Three years of experience supporting learning technology.
• Experience diagnosing hardware and software problems.
• Experience supporting and maintaining audio-visual equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-desk support and customer service in LA&PS learning spaces.
• Deliver technical support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Assist with day-to-day administration of learning spaces.
• Ensure proper use of learning space computers, software, AV equipment and peripherals.
• Support instructors with active learning methodologies.
