The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LA&PS) is the largest Faculty at York University with over 27,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and almost 100 programs delivered through 25 Departments, Schools and Colleges. The Learning Resource Support Specialist (LRSS) is responsible for supporting students, faculty and staff in LA&PS learning spaces by providing front-desk support and customer service, technical support and general administrative support to the day-to-day operations of LA&PS learning spaces. The role is responsible for ensuring proper usage of the learning space computers, software, applications, audio-visual equipment and peripherals, according to appropriate policies and procedures. Additionally, the role supports active learning methodologies utilized by LA&PS course instructors in LA&PS learning spaces. The role will support the vision, mission, values and strategic direction of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and York University, and contribute to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of high performance, respect, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement. College Diploma in a related field or an equivalent of 2 years' recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
