Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production line teams, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and report to the Plant Manager. The role emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement of staff in a high-demand manufacturing setting.

Afternoon shift is 3PM–11PM. The incumbent will enforce safety rules, manage workloads, and drive performance improvements across production lines while maintaining strong labor relations and adherence to EH&S

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred and/or 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of production operations and lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma).
• Strong interpersonal skills, engagement in safe work behaviors, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all Production activities to meet specs and quality.
• Set schedules, assignments, and production requirements with Plant Manager.
• Monitor performance and assist in troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety procedures and a healthy work environment.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering.
