Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Brampton is seeking a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. You will drive safety, quality, productivity and employee engagement while shaping the future of our operation, working with cross-functional teams to develop people and improve processes.

You will lead and coach supervisors, meet production schedules, optimize OEE, and champion Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading supervisors in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plastic extrusion field strongly encouraged.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams within a unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and production teams to achieve operational excellence.

• Ensure production schedules are met while maximizing efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators including productivity, OEE, yield, scrap, and downtime.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Engineering teams to optimize plant performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production and quality challenges.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage workforce planning, employee performance, and talent development activities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous learning.
• Support strategic initiatives, capital projects, and operational improvement programs.

Is this job for you ?

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay for this position ranges from 80 500$ to 102 000$ per year. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to education, experience, skills and qualifications as they relate to the role. Fully qualified and experienced candidates will typically align near the midpoint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
