Placements24 is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator based in or near Kimberley to manage end-to-end cross-border freight operations. You will coordinate shipments, verify documentation, and liaise with customs, carriers, and clients to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

The role requires a strong background in international trade, 6+ years in logistics, and leadership capabilities to mentor junior staff while optimizing processes and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in logistics coordination with 3+ years cross-border experience.
• Deep knowledge of international shipping, customs, and compliance.
• Proven ability with freight forwarding platforms and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end cross-border freight shipments from/to Northern Cape region.
• Prepare and verify documents: bills of lading, customs declarations, permits.
• Negotiate rates and service contracts with carriers to ensure best value.
• Track shipments and report progress to clients and internal teams.
• Mentor junior logistics staff and improve processes for cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and safety standards.
