Job summary

Value Buds High River is seeking a motivated Keyholder/Shift Lead to represent the brand and guide customers through the cannabis shopping experience. You will lead by example, take ownership during shifts, and support both customers and team members in a fast-paced setting.

This role emphasizes exceptional service, product education, and daily store operations to ensure a smooth customer journey from entry to purchase.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement varies by province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’llbe the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Do
