Job summary

Value Buds is seeking a motivated Keyholder/Shift Lead for our cannabis retail team at Value Buds Franklin Avenue. You’ll welcome customers, offer product recommendations, and help guide shoppers through our store and education programs.

In this role you’ll support daily operations, operate the POS, manage restocking, and ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification. A customer-first mindset and relevant cannabis certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Retail or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-first approach.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP or CanSell) is required or pursued.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Do

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience

• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
