Job summary

Value Buds Maple Mews in Burlington is seeking a motivated Keyholder to join our cannabis retail team. You will lead by example, assist customers, and help teammates during shifts while maintaining store standards.

You will manage product recommendations, educate customers about cannabis, operate the POS, and support merchandising and inventory tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell) required or preferred.
• Minimum age according to province; capable of standing and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You'll Do

About You

• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
