Job summary

Value Buds Wasaga Beach is hiring a Keyholder/Shift Lead to guide daily operations in our cannabis retail store. You’ll engage customers, educate on products, manage merchandising, and run the POS with accuracy and care.

The ideal candidate has retail or hospitality experience, strong communication, and cannabis-selling certification. You must be able to stand long hours, lift up to 40 lbs, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.
