Job summary

Value Buds Maple Mews in Burlington is seeking a reliable Keyholder/Shift Lead to support daily cannabis retail operations. You’ll lead by example, greet customers, guide them through products, and ensure smooth store performance during shifts.

You’ll manage checkout, restock, assist with inventory, and uphold compliance with cannabis regulations. Previous retail or service experience, strong communication, and a Cannabis selling certification are required.

Qualifications

• Retail, customer service or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication and customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’llbe the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.
