Job summary

Value Buds Maple Mews in Burlington is seeking a Keyholder/Shift Lead to provide exceptional customer service and lead by example in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

You will guide customers through product education, support daily store operations, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers. Previous retail or service experience is valued, plus cannabis certification and physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Cannabis selling certification required (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’ll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast‑paced setting.

What You’ll Do
