Job summary

Value Buds in Toronto's Cabbage Town is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead to welcome customers and lead by example during busy shifts.

You will operate the POS, process payments, stock shelves, verify IDs, and help keep the store compliant with cannabis regulations.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, strong communication, and a cannabis certification; 18 CAD/hour with flexible scheduling and benefits including EFAP, health and dental coverage, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell) required or preferred.
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.

About the Role

Keyholder / Shift Lead – Cannabis Retail

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’ll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.
