Are you looking to get your foot in the door and grow your career in payroll and finance Carlson Construction Group is seeking a Junior Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic Finance Team!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone detail-oriented eager to learn and ready to take on various tasks in a supportive and fast-paced environment. No extensive experience No problem! If you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn well help you build the skills you need to succeed.

What Youll Do :

• Support the operation of our AL Mobile time tracking system for hourly payroll.
• Help maintain accurate employee records (new hires terminations wage changes etc.).
• Assist with generating and reviewing time reports to ensure compliance.
• Conduct daily audits to verify time data and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide friendly support to employees using the time tracking system.
• Prepare weekly reports on hours and equipment usage using Excel (PivotTables).
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and support the payroll team as needed.

What You Bring :

• A positive proactive attitude and a desire to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables a plus!).
• Post-secondary education is an asset but not required.
• Experience with time tracking systems is a bonusbut well train the right person!
• Completion of Payroll Fundamentals 1 is considered an asset

Work Location :

• 2 days / week at our Brymark office

Salary : $55 - $65k per annum
