POSITION OVERVIEW:
Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and service excellence? Join the City of Maple Ridge as a Payroll Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring our staff are paid accurately and on time.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing and administering municipal payrolls, maintaining payroll and employee records, and interpreting a wide range of collective agreements, employment policies, and benefit plans. You will work closely with departments across the organization, providing expert guidance on payroll processes, training timekeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with legislation and internal procedures. This role requires a high level of discretion, technical expertise, and a customer service mindset to support our organization’s day-to-day operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LICENCES AND CERTIFICATES
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation through the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
HOURS OF WORK
8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours bi-weekly (Approximately 2 days per week or additional as required).
