Qualifications

About the Role

The Junior Business Analyst plays an important role in supporting and enhancing Beedie School of Business' Orbis and Salesforce platforms, helping to ensure that these systems effectively support student services, academic programs, and administrative operations. Working closely with staff, faculty, and technology teams, this position helps gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, support solution design, configure system settings, and assist with testing, training, and implementation activities. The role contributes to the department's goals by aligning technology solutions with business needs, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the user experience. The successful candidate will be involved in the ongoing support, maintenance, and development of Orbis, Salesforce, and related business systems, while contributing to business process improvement and digital transformation initiatives across the School. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop business analysis and enterprise application skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline and one year of related experience including experience in writing and reviewing business, user, and non-functional/system level requirements, test plans, and training materials, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, document, and interpret business requirements.
  • Experience supporting, testing, or improving business processes and technology solutions, including requirements analysis and solution validation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce, CRM platforms, Orbis, or other enterprise business systems is preferred.
