Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Nurse Manager - Skilled Nursing Facility

Overview

Join a leading healthcare facility in Waterloo, NY, the gateway to the beautiful Finger Lakes region. This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to manage a special needs unit within a long-term care setting. You will play a critical role in ensuring uncompromising quality, patient safety, and an outstanding patient experience while fostering a supportive environment for staff development. The ideal candidate will have a consistent work history in long-term care and proven management experience.

Responsibilities
  • Implement strategies to achieve exceptional patient safety, quality care, and a positive patient/family experience.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Unit Clerks.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of nursing personnel.
  • Allocate resources to promote efficient, effective, and fiscally responsible nursing care.
  • Ensure coordination of care across departments through interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Facilitate project management, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Maintain compliance with all Department of Health (DOH) requirements.
Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
  • Current NYS License to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse.

Experiences

  • Must have at least 2 years of recent manager or supervisor experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) Facility.
  • Two years of general nursing or long-term care experience.
  • Experience with a Special Needs Unit is preferred.

Other

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, management, and computer literacy skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and EHR systems (Meditech experience a plus).
Compensation and Benefits

Salary

  • $90,000 - $105,000 per year, based on experience.
