Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking a Steamfitter/Pipefitter for our British Columbia project. You will coordinate day-to-day site activities with the Superintendent and perform hydrotest, installation, and fabrication of piping systems for heating, cooling, and processing utilities.

Candidates should have pipefitting experience or be enrolled in an Apprenticeship, hold a valid driver’s license, own basic trade tools, and be prepared for a 21/7 rotation and potential drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required due to client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities at the construction site with the Superintendent.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding supports.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Ensure safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer, scissor lifts, and power tools.

As our Steamfitter/Pipefitter, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Works with the Superintendent to coordinate the day-to-day activities at the construction site.

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
