SFU is seeking an Administrative Assistant for International Services for Students. You will provide front-line contact, clerical and secretarial support, maintain confidential student records, process forms and deposits, and coordinate meetings with efficiency and discretion.

International Services for Students provides holistic programs and services to support the international, newcomer and refugee student experience at SFU and manages the University's Study Abroad Programs (formal exchange, study abroad, faculty-led field schools) with over 130 partners around the globe to facilitate transformative international and intercultural learning opportunities for SFU students.
Acts as the first primary contact for SFU International Services for Students. Responds to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, parents, international visitors, and the general public regarding admissions to, studying at, and programs offered through SFU International Services for Students. Provides a range of secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to SFU International Services for Students staff and programs. Maintains confidential student records. Receives, prepares, and processes a variety of forms and documents, including petty cash vouchers and deposits. Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments and other events; books rooms and organizes meeting resources, takes, transcribes and distributes minutes of meetings, and initiates follow-up; and maintains office files and inventory.
High school graduation and one-year post-secondary education with training in word processing, spreadsheet, database and web applications, and in office procedures; basic bookkeeping and accounting practices. 3 years experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
