To elevate and celebrate undergraduate student writing at SFU, the Student Learning Commons hosts an annual interdisciplinary Writing Contest. The Writing Contest Program Assistant plays a key administrative role in the contest, by processing students’ submissions; coordinating the contest pre-screening and judging processes; and assisting in planning the writing contest closing reception (March 2027).
Full Job Description
High school graduation and general courses or training of moderate duration (one semester/equivalent) in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications and office procedures and practices. Current enrollment in graduate program at SFU.
An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study ad experience is acceptable.

Priority will be given to qualified registered SFU students who must submit a Fall 2026 class schedule with their application. This is a part-time position working 5 hours biweekly. Days/hours of work are mostly flexible; some required weekend work and meetings during regular hours; rare evenings. There is 1 position available.
