Job summary

HUB International is hiring for an Insurance Advisor, Auto in British Columbia. You will provide ICBC and private auto coverage at the office and dealerships, while assisting customers at the counter and ensuring smooth operations within the HUB network.

We seek candidates with a Level 1 General Insurance License and at least 6 months of auto insurance experience, who demonstrate exceptional client service and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 1 General Insurance License.
• Minimum 6 months Auto Insurance experience.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive sales initiative and drive.
• Must have own vehicle for dealership travel (mileage reimbursed).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICBC and Private Auto coverage at office and dealerships.
• Assist in office by serving customers at counter and on the phone.
• Set and manage production budgets including ICBC Autoplan and Private Auto sales.
• Represent HUB International and align with mission and values.
• Interpret insurer and regulatory rules and ensure compliance.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain ICBC inventory and accurate documentation and funds.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Our Community Branch Network Division is seeking a client-focused Insurance Advisor, Auto. We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing ICBC and private auto coverage in the office and dealerships
• Assisting in the office as needed by helping customers at the counter, answering telephones and completing other tasks as assigned
• Setting and adhering to production budgets, including ICBC Autoplan, Private Auto Sales production
• Committing to remaining connected to HUB International in the bigger picture and understand the mission, values and goals of HUB
• Interpreting and ensuring that insurer (ICBC, Family, etc.) and BC Insurance Council rules and regulations are followed
• Handling any customer complaints appropriately
• Ensuring control of ICBC inventory and correct handling of all documentation and funds
• Continuing professional development in order to enhance skills and abilities
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

• Level 1 General Insurance License mandatory
• 6 months+ Auto Insurance experience
• Demonstrated abilities in providing exceptional client service

The expected salary range for this position is $42,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid‑time‑off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
