Job summary

HUB International in Canada is seeking an Insurance Advisor for our Community Branch Network to provide ICBC and private auto coverage, assist clients at the counter, and support sales and service goals within a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional client service, strong communication, and adherence to regulatory requirements while contributing to growth and professional development within HUB.

Qualifications

• General Insurance license required (Level 1).
• At least 6 months of auto insurance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sales-driven with initiative and drive.
• Must have own vehicle for travel to dealership locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICBC and private auto coverage in the office and dealerships.
• Assist customers at the counter and answer phones.
• Adhere to production budgets for ICBC Autoplan and auto sales.
• Follow insurer and regulator rules and ensure proper documentation and funds handling.
• Maintain inventory control and complete documentation accurately.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and training.

What We’re Looking For

Our Community Branch Network Division is seeking a client-focused Insurance Advisor. We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing ICBC and private auto coverage in the office and dealerships
• Assisting in the office as needed by helping customers at the counter, answering telephones and completing other tasks as assigned
• Setting and adhering to production budgets, including ICBC Autoplan, Private Auto Sales production
• Committing to remaining connected to HUB International in the bigger picture and understand the mission, values and goals of HUB
• Interpreting and ensuring that insurer (ICBC, Family, etc.) and BC Insurance Council rules and regulations are followed
• Handling any customer complaints appropriately
• Ensuring control of ICBC inventory and correct handling of all documentation and funds
• Continuing professional development in order to enhance skills and abilities
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

• Level 1 General Insurance License mandatory
• 6 months+ Auto Insurance experience
• Demonstrated abilities in providing exceptional client service
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• Sales initiative and drive
• Must have use of own personal vehicle to travel to dealership locations (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Exceptional customer service skills

The expected salary range for this position is $42,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
