Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is seeking a sales-oriented professional to manage outside plumbing sales, provide quotes and deliver after-sales service. The role focuses on growing the business by servicing an existing account base and developing new accounts in the plumbing industry.

Travel within the region may be required. You will respond to inquiries, process orders, source materials, open new accounts, and maintain product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction and strong partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ sales experience (counter, inside, or outside) required.
• Post-secondary plumbing courses preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing industry or asset."agement" would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and process incoming calls and orders.
• Contact current customers and upsell products.
• Enter orders into the system and close orders.
• Source materials for customers when not in stock.
• Open new accounts and maintain product knowledge.

Do you have the ability to develop long-term relationships with customers?

Are you consistently in search of business opportunities?

If so, we are currently in search of a sales-oriented person to join our team! You will be responsible for all outside plumbing sales, quotes, and after-sales service.

Your major focus will be on growing our business by calling on and servicing an existing account base as well as developing new accounts in the plumbing sales industry. Travel may be required within the region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential upselling
• Entering orders into the system and closing orders
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Opening new accounts
• Maintaining a knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales, or outside sales) required
• Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing preferred
• Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing contractors, and the public
• Knowledge of the plumbing industry or a background in plumbing products would be considered an asset
• Valid driver's license is required
