Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is seeking a customer-focused Sales Associate to support customers in Red Deer. You will respond to inquiries, process calls and orders, purchase materials for customers, and source items when not in stock to meet deadlines.

You will build lasting relationships, ensure satisfaction with product, pricing and deliveries, and handle counter sales and returns as needed. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry is required.
• Previous experience is an asset, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and process calls and orders.
• Purchase materials for customers and conduct sales negotiations.
• Source materials for customers when not in stock.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with orders, products, pricing, deliveries and service.
• Counter sales and handling returns.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries and overall service
• Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Other duties as required

• Ability to warm up and develop rapport with potential customers
• Ability to develop long term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry is required
