Job summary

Fortinet is seeking an Inside Presales Security Expert to support the sales organization within a defined territory, collaborating with an Inside Channel Sales Representative. The role focuses on pre-sales, on-sales calls, and post-sales technical oversight to ensure customer success.

The candidate will handle pre-sales qualification, be the main technical resource on sales calls, and work closely with customers to address features, integration needs, and post-sales training.

Qualifications

• 3 years of technical/pre-sales support experience.
• 3 years LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
• Solid DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP knowledge.
• Experience with routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, security and IDS/AV.
• Familiarity with RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
• Experience with encryption and authentication tech.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Willing to travel for sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
• Sales calls - main technical resource on calls; educate customer and partner on features, specs and functionality to integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Post-sales - lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and work with technical support to resolve issues.
• Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.
