Job summary

An Indigenous support organization in Northwestern Ontario seeks an Indigenous Community Reintegration Caseworker to support urban Indigenous individuals transitioning from custody. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree, strong knowledge of Indigenous culture, and effective communication skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a justice services environment.
  • Knowledge of the judicial system and related statutes regarding Indigenous persons.
  • Experience in community service planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reintegration and recovery supports to urban Indigenous individuals.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan culturally relevant services.
  • Facilitate healing pathways and provide a client-centered approach to case management.
