Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma in a related field.
• Training in preventative/de-escalating behaviour is an asset.
• Minimum one year experience with students with challenging behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support students per individualized plans, including personal, medical, and safety needs.
• Implement strategies directed by teachers and student plans.
• Record observations to guide positive behavior support.
• Participate in collaborative planning meetings.
• Assist in preparing individualized program materials.
