Job summary

Qualifications
- Educational Assistant Certificate or related diploma.
- Willingness to pursue certificated behavior support training.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance per individualized plans including personal, medical care, lifts and transfers.
- Implements strategies directed by teachers and student plans.
- Records observations to guide positive behavior strategies.
- Participates in collaborative planning meetings for student planning.
- Assists in preparing individualized program materials.
- Promotes student learning, belonging and independence.
- Assists with emotional and behavioral regulation as per plans.
- Supports daily living routines and personal care tasks.
- Assists in physical therapy or adaptive activities as directed.
