Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking two continuing Learning Assistants for Bow Valley High School in Cochrane. You will collaborate with teachers to implement individualized plans, support diverse learners, and promote health, learning and independence. Training in behavior support and relevant certifications are assets.

Role requires compassionate teamwork, adaptability under pressure, and commitment to student well-being within a 30-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to support diverse learners in classroom settings.
• Strong behavior management and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication with students, families, and staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and school web apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as identified in individualized plans, including mobility or safety needs.
• Implement strategies from teachers and student plans.
• Record observations to guide positive behavior approaches.
• Participate in planning meetings and prepare materials as directed.
• Support student learning, belonging and independence.
