A local government organization is looking for an Inclusion Leader for its Summer Day Camp program in Ontario. You will work alongside Day Camp Leaders to provide tailored support for children and youth with special needs, ensuring their full participation in various camp activities. The role requires at least one year of post-secondary education and experience with children. This seasonal position runs from May 23 to September 4, 2026, with competitive pay at $19.36 per hour. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
As a member of Norfolk County’s Summer Day Camp team, the Inclusion Leader works alongside Day Camp Leaders to provide recreational leadership and facilitation across camp programs. In addition to supporting the team, the Inclusion Leader works independently to provide individualized support and adaptations to children and youth with special needs, ensuring their full participation in camp activities.
Under the guidance of the Recreation Coordinator(s) and Regional Camp Coordinator(s), the Inclusion Leader collaborates with the onsite Day Camp Coordinator and Day Camp Leaders to deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality camp experiences following the HIGH FIVE® model.
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
Employment is conditional upon: attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.
At time of application must be enrolled in a post‑secondary education institution or institution of higher learning.
Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.

The duration of this contract will be approximately 3 months. Applicants are expected to fulfill the entire contract period commencing May 23, 2026, to September 4, 2026. Training will occur in June, and camp begins July 2, 2026, schedules of up to 40 hours per week will not commence until July.
