Mandate:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Community and Government Relations, the Program Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening relationships between the university and the broader community by leading the implementation of a Speakers’ Network, a new partnership between Community Relations and the Division of Continuing Studies. This program will create accessible opportunities for UVic experts and community to come together to share knowledge, stories, and expertise. This role works in collaboration with a broad range of academic and service units on campus alongside diverse external organizations and communities. They are responsible for the planning, administration and delivery of a wide range of innovative learning events offered through the Speaker’s Network.
This role may involve occasional evening and weekend work hours.
Requirements
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience and training in a relevant field, preferably in a post-secondary or institutional environment. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
