Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is the minimum requirement.
  • Gas Technician II License is a requirement.
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – D) is required.
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card is required.
  • Class G Driver’s License is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in service of Water Heaters and HVAC equipment is an asset.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby duties is required.

  • Service HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specs.
  • Instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Position Title: HVAC Service Technician

Compensation: $36.33

Overview of Role: Our client is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join their Sault Ste. Marie team, who is open to on-going growth opportunities within the organization. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for professionally servicing HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor or designate.
What You Bring to this Position
  • High School Diploma, minimum requirement.
  • Gas Technician II License, requirement.
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – D), required.
  • Must have valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card, required.
  • Must have a class G Driver’s License, required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in service of Water Heaters and HVAC equipment, an asset.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting / kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and / or slippery.
  • Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand / learn new technologies (i.e. electronics / electricity).
