Job summary

Trane Supply in Canada is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to advise customers at the counter and over the phone, quote parts, process orders, and help customers find HVAC supplies.

You will maintain product knowledge, build relationships, and assist with warehouse tasks like cycle counts and inventory control while promoting promotions and ensuring safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Building Mechanical Systems Diploma is an asset.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with emphasis on customer service, continuous improvement, and safety.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, retail sales, or a related field.
• HVAC sales experience or knowledge and mechanical aptitude are assets.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and maintain professional customer service, even in challenging situations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Occasional forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers visiting Trane Supply stores and resolve issues involving parts or equipment.
• Provide accurate parts quotes and high-quality solutions.
• Process customer orders and respond to inquiries.
• Engage with customers at the counter and by phone to identify their HVAC parts and supply needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products, offerings, and promotions.
• Identify related products or additional needs to increase sales.
• Accurately execute quoting and order management processes.
• Assist with warehouse and inventory management, including cycle counts, backorders, receiving, transfers, shipping, stocking, and inventory control.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
