Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on field experience in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical service, or a related trade.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Technical certifications (HVAC licenses) depending on region.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with service tools, diagnostic equipment, and digital work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures using technical expertise and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Install, commission, and test new equipment or system upgrades.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior or apprentice technicians.
• Document service activities, including parts used, work performed, and recommendations.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, explaining findings and solutions professionally.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and company standards.
• Recommend system improvements or replacement solutions based on customer needs.
