Responsibilities

• Assist HSE Professional with inspections and investigations.
• Develop training materials and orientation for new employees.
• Monitor the environmental program and maintain compliance.
• Review PSI, tailgate meetings, safework procedures, trend analyses.
• Monitor and maintain the environmental program.
• Ensure compliance with company and local requirements.
• Analyze site trends/incidents and report findings.
• Distribute safety-related statistics and reinforce safety standards.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the HSE Professional with inspections and incidental investigations
• Assisting with the orientation of new employees
• Developing of training materials
• Reviewing paperwork (ie. PSI, tailgate meetings, safework procedure, trend analysis)
• Monitoring and maintaining the environmental program
• Recognizing and following the company’s and local legislative requirements
• Analyzing site-specific trends and incidents and reporting findings to district
• Gathering/reviewing/distributing safety-related statistical information
• Interpreting, communicating, and reinforcing project safety standards to workforce

Required Qualifications

• Ability to implement HSE program elements and safe operating procedures
• Knowledge of environmental requirements and the ability to implement systems which meet compliance
• Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards
• The ability to determine the cause of an incident, and to initiate and implement corrective action to prevent the likelihood of recurrence
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
