Job summary

Avon Maitland District School Board is accepting applications for a Non-Union 1.0 FTE permanent Human Resources Services Representative at the Education Centre. Hours are 35 per week, 12 months per year.

The role focuses on HRIS updates, staff files, SmartFind Express operations, Parklane and WSIB processes, and coordinating interviews and staffing tasks. The successful candidate will support HR activities, coordinate health and wellness projects, prepare new hire packages, and assist with job

Qualifications

• One-year certificate in office administration, HR or related field with one year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with HR software is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt customer service for employee and visitor inquiries in person, by phone or email.
• Support HR functions related to recruitment, staffing and contract administration.
• Enter transactions in HRIS for changes, compensation, absences, transfers and retirements.
• Process WSIB documentation and forms; update Parklane incidents as needed.
• Maintain SmartFind Express data and assist with system configuration and data management.
• Coordinate interviews, assist with supply staff onboarding and related tasks.
