Job summary

McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Coordinator to support roughly 140 employees across Calgary area locations. You will work with the HR Advisor and Payroll/Benefits Administrator on recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and daily HR tasks, ensuring a positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate has HR education and strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant HR experience.
• Formal HR education preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with Payworks is an asset.
• Knowledge of Alberta employment legislation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR needs alongside the HR Advisor and Payroll/Benefits Administrator.
• Assist with recruitment processes and onboarding.
• Manage onboarding documentation and new-hire orientation.
• Answer employee questions and provide timely information.
• Help maintain employee records in Payworks and internal systems.
