Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Program Resource Worker to support residents at Dovercourt. You will help with intake, orient guests, provide practical and medical support, and coordinate access to housing, meals, health services, and financial resources.

You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and accompany guests to appointments and outings. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork in a COR-certified setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education; two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Familiarity with community resources; addiction, mental health, income assistance and harm reduction
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Strong boundaries with clients and workers
• Able to work with disadvantaged adults in a diverse environment

Responsibilities

• Provide guest assistance by sharing information on housing, meals, health, treatment, legal and financial resources
• Oversee client-focused social and recreational activities
• Administer medications and provide reminders per policy
• Assist with activities of daily living such as feeding, grooming, and toileting
• Accompany guests to appointments, shopping, and leisure activities
• Maintain manual and electronic records and documentation
• Perform cleaning duties and run errands as needed
• Support guest self-care, personal hygiene, and daily routines
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, caring environment and respond to emergencies
• Orient new staff or students and provide tours of services
