Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Tenant Support Worker in North Vancouver on a casual basis. The role involves assisting residents with intake, developing service plans, and coordinating support to promote independence.

A COR-certified environment requires respirator fit testing and strict adherence to health and safety standards. The position includes evening and overnight shifts, with a 7.5-hour workday and a competitive hourly wage per the collective agreement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Community Social Service required.
  • OFA 1 First Aid Certificate required.
  • Food Safe Certificate required if applicable.
  • Minimum two years sobriety if alcohol/drug issues.
  • Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist tenants with intake, support services, and assessments.
  • Develop service plans, provide crisis intervention, and manage finances and medications.
  • Help residents meet basic needs and promote long-term independence.
  • Complete paperwork and maintain data for evaluations and statistics.
  • Support volunteers and practicum students on site.
  • Use of an automobile may be required occasionally.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and practices.
