Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society in Vancouver is seeking a Tenant Support Worker to assist residents at The Oasis with daily living skills, access to services, and goal planning. You will work closely with tenants to promote independence and stability in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include conducting intakes, developing service plans, crisis intervention, handling finances and medications, and coordinating with volunteers while maintaining documentation and adherence to health

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent education/experience.
  • First Aid certification and, if required, Food Safe certification.
  • Experience with Mental Health, Harm Reduction and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in tenant intakes, provide support services and assessments.
  • Identify challenges, develop service plans, crisis intervention, and manage finances and medications.
  • Ensure basic needs are met through ongoing work with residents.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain statistical and evaluative data.
  • Assist with volunteers and practicum students on site.
  • Some external work may occur; driving could be useful.
  • Stay alert during shifts; sleeping is not permitted.
  • Comply with health and safety program requirements.
